To you O Lord I lift my soul In you I trust O God To you O Lord I lift my soul In you I trust O God No one whose hope is in you Will ever be ashamed Guide me and teach me your ways O God who saves Assign to me integrity My hope is in you Turn to me; be gracious to me For I have been lonely and afflicted But according to your love Remember me Assign to me integrity My hope is in you.

The highest waves in the deepest sea Couldn't wash away this memory This feeling of intense unease As love lies bleeding I turn away in disbelief With a hurricaine of fear in me And a shattered sense of loyalty As love lies bleeding And my thoughts of bravery Grew wings and flew away from me Left me as a man bereaved Feeling with his soul Oh the agony To see what I now see Love lies bleeding All alone Helplessly I watch him bleed The greatest man the world has ever seen Made to look so small by hands just like these My love lies bleeding
3.
Creation proclaims you are almighty The heavens declare your handiwork With a love far deeper than the oceans You pour out favour on the earth The raging sun speaks of one who judges The unfurling flower demonstrates your care With a tenderness sung about by children You pour out favour on the earth Undeserved What is man that you are mindful of him Mere man that you should care? You gave him rule over all your hands crafted All the flocks and herds and the flying birds And fish that swim the paths of the sea O Lord our God how majestic is your name And how great your renown is in all of the earth O Lord our God how majestic is your name And how great your renown is in all of the earth The angels orchestral in their singing Harmonize with lovers in their search Every family name given by a father Who pours out favour on the earth Undeserved

Falling, failing, losing ground Overwhelmed by who I am So acute my incompleteness Bitter tastes the fruit of weakness Crying, lying, broken down Capable of any crime So alive the contradiction Slaying what was deep conviction I'm powerless to live what I believe My human-ness hurts like a disease I live with my denial, with this betrayal Walking, running, further out Into flames of tireless doubt All alone with my excuses And the shame that guilt produces I'm powerless to live what I believe My human-ness hurts like a disease I live with my denial, with this betrayal I'm a child in a mans body I'm a whisper in an angry crowd I'm a coward in an army of warriors I'm a man, just a man of the earth
5.
You are God I am not Oh sweet revelation You are God I am not Oh sweet revelation I worship you I revere you I worship you Oh holy God
6.
I'll always have love left In my heart for you I'll always have a soft spot for you No matter how hard things prove I'll always have respect and honour Where respect is due I'll always have a heartfelt reverence For I'm in love with you I'm in love with you And no matter how rough the road gets I'll keep following you If I'm a fool Then I'm a fool for you If I've been fooled Then bring me back to you I only want to please you
7.
I was down by the sea when the day got late I sat on a wall just to contemplate Why it is that Man things he's so great With a longing I saw children playing across the bay Playing old games that their parents played Using words meant to isolate With a longing There's a longing in me That won't let me be I can't sit back complacently And applaud profanity I have this longing I've seen the despondency in teenage eyes As they reach out for the unattainable prize With no one there to wipe tears from their eyes With a longing A man said to me "the sea is just like a lake It's a good day to fish, about as flat as a pancake" And I thought how well it described our spiritual state With a longing There's a longing in me, a longing in me To see the knowledge of your glory fill the earth As the waters cover the sea Is the tide coming in or is the tide going out? Are the righteous still sleeping, do believers still doubt? Will we sink in this mud or drown in his love? Will we see this thing like a gauntlet? Or wear it like a comfortable glove? I have this longing

If I didn't know you better I'd think that you were cruel If I didn't know you better I'd say that I've been fooled I look at all the suffering The sickness and disease And I wonder if you dance upon our graves If I didn't know you better I'd doubt if you were there If I didn't know you better I'd say your power's scarce I look upon the misery The humbled on their knees And I wonder if you hear a word we say If I didn't know you better I'd hide these things I feel If I didn't know you better I'd stop being real

Just Cry 05:31
Who do you run to in the dead of the night When grief overwhelms you And you can't find the light Who do you turn to, where do you hide? Who do you talk to when it all falls apart Words seem to fail you And the days seem so dark Who do you turn to, where do you hide? Who do you run to with the pain in your life? You can go to the Lord and just cry You can cry all night, that's all right He understands you Who do you scream to When you don't understand Who picks you up When you hold out your hand Who do you turn to, where do you hide? Who do you turn to with the pain in your life? He's a man of sorrows (He understands you) He's acquainted with grief (He understands you) He knows what you're going through (He understands you)

To Love 05:10
The need to love someone is so very strong To touch and kiss and show some caring But when the object of your love has gone The love you feel still needs sharing Oh the pain of holding all this love They tell you love is such a sweet thing And all the love I feel in all this pain A life of dreams expressed by weeping It's like a son needing to be mothered By a mother who's not there It's like a couple longing for their baby And all they hold is air To love can sometimes be such a painful feeling To love and not be loved can just kill you dead People say to me that your heart will mend That time will heal the memories But don't they know that when the tears all end There's not much left here to hang on to

Hearts inter-woven but one heart is frozen Cold and unable to love Love needs expression and makes no concessions Yet finds no acceptance again A pure heart is calling To a world that is falling Be reconciled This desolation bares no relation To the justice by which you've been named The heart of creation desperately needs conciliation To beat with the heart up above Which cries come on Come on take my hand I'll take you to my wonderland Be reconciled Reconciliation Life run's it's course and families end up in divorce Spirits lying wounded in easy chairs A pure heart is calling To a world that is falling Be reconciled
12.
The rain was lashing at my window this morning Just like it did the day before The wind was howling so relentlessly Finding its way under my door I liken that rain to the pain that strikes me The wind reminds me of what fear can do Even if the wind and rain came at a hurricane force All will be calm when the sun finds its couse Teach me to be peaceful Even in the midst of a raging storm Show me how to trust you Even when my faith seems so small A young boy says daddy the trees have blown over They're on the path and they're blocking the road Daddy exclaims 'oh God Almighty I hope that don't mean we cant get home' I liken those trees to the doubt that strikes me The road reminds me of the way to you Even if a forest fell on the highway All will be clear by the time the day is through Teach me to be peaceful Even in the midst of a raging storm Show me how to trust you Even when my faith seems so small
13.
I give you all my hopes My dreams, my yearnings Knowing that my heart is safe with you I trust you with my life My role, my journey Confident my future lies with you Jesus my lover My Lord and Saviour I owe everything to you I owe everything to you

Hidden 01:37

about

Recorded in London England and Vancouver BC Canada

I was inspired by the biblical story of the widow who gave two tiny coins to God, which was deemed to be more costly than any other offering in the temple because the coins represented all she had. This recording is my widow's mite.
It is a record fashioned in some painful periods in my life. In sharing it, I hope it might bring encouragement to others going through such times.
