It's A Fool 02:55
IT'S A FOOL I’ve seen you mistreating your baby Treating her with no respect Taking her for granted Instead of placing jewels around her neck Are you in need of a doctor Did your head just take a hit? It’s a fool who gets a treasure And then squanders it You can’t just take without giving One day the well will run dry Gotta love, squeeze and cherish that girl Else you’ll lose your butterfly Are you in need of more schoolin’? ain’t you learned your lesson yet It’s a fool who gets a treasure then squanders it It’s a fool, Ooh ooh ooh It’s a fool, Oh yeah Who has a girl so special And treats her oh so cruel Are you in need of more schoolin’? ain’t you learned your lesson yet It’s a fool who gets a treasure And then squanders it

Your Beautiful Skin I met a man and we talked all night He told me of the pain in his life As a child he was torn from his kin 9 years starved of Momma’s loving He was taught who he was ain’t right He’d be better if he were white Oh and that just ain't right And that just ain’t true I love your beautiful skin oh your beautiful skin I met a woman who became a friend She would read to me the words she’d penned Harsh things about life outside Made to feel that she had to hide The res angel who could never fly She was stolen away from her tribe Land taken, she was left alone, First Nation in a foster home God loves your beautiful skin Oh your beautiful skin He walks the red road you’re walking God loves your beautiful skin All of the missing years All that was taken I had a dream where the raven spoke I saw the healing in the sweetgrass smoke All Nations on the good road, Every wrong made right.

Hard to make a Crust Rise up early Beat the sun to the sky Working late because I must Joints are aching, back is breaking It’s so hard to make a crust Workin’ 3 or 4 jobs To raise a family Working poor is so unjust Hard to get ahead Debt keeps you in the red It’s so hard to make a crust All my dreams are an unresolved fable Not enough to put food on the table Though the road be dust Give it all or bust It’s so hard to make a crust The roof needs mending kids shoes are leaking Losing sight of faith and trust No money in the bank No gas left in the tank It's so hard to make a crust I'll keep pressing on Gotta keep looking up I won't let my song be crushed Like every working man I’m doing the best I can It's just hard to make a crust.

What They Did Let’s hear it for the hero’s they never wanted praise They’ll never know how grateful we are They fought through all the darkness They gave us light to find The hope we lost through evil and pain Chorus And we’ll always remember what they did, what they did To keep us safe and keep us free They’ll all go down in history what they did what they did To make a better world for you and me And here’s one for the angels on the front line Their only goal to help us survive And all the unsung heroes they never compromised Left us all to sleep at night And we’ll always remember what they did, what they did To keep us safe and keep us free They’ll all go down in history What they did what they did To make a better world for you and me

about

Talkin’ ‘bout Love
What began as a creative project to keep father and son musicians sane in a pandemic evolved into something worthy to be shared with the world!
With lyrics, riffs, and rhythms bouncing off satellites across the Atlantic and forged into compelling new songs, isolation was turned into connection through the power of the Blues.
